This is an online tool to improve how you take your Pre-exposure Prophylaxis. It includes:
We are concentrating initially on daily/regular pill taking but are also developing tools for Event based dosing.
If you are taking your pills regularly then we will send you some introductory texts to help you think about how you set up your pill taking habits. We will then send you daily texts to ask if you have taken your last dose.
The aim is to help you think about how you set up your pill-taking habits and if you miss a dose to think about how you might do this better next time. You can swap to and from weekly texts after 2 weeks. Weekly texts will help keep you motivated with pill taking. We will also ask you to count your pills every few weeks, to see if you are as good as you think you are! If you need help to improve, you can swap to daily texts.
Pill-counting can be more difficult if you are taking pills in any way other than daily and does not work so well for event based dosing. So we will not necessarily ask you to pill count if you tell us you are using PrEP in this way.
This service is still in development and we need your help to get it right. Please let us know of any suggestions for improvements. Please complete the evaluation questions we will send you by text after a month.
